     Te Aka Matua symbolises the sacred parent vine that Tāwhaki ascended in his quest to retrieve the three kete of knowledge. Inspired by this powerful journey, Te Aka Matua is an online, one-on-one cultural mentoring programme for nurse educators. Through tailored support and cultural mentorship, Te Aka Matua empowers participants to confidently deliver nursing education that places Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Māori health and Mātauranga Māori at the centre.

     He Ara e te Pae Ora is a series of interactive wānanga that empower educators to thoughtfully redesign curriculum content through the integration of mātauranga Māori. Each wānanga offers a collaborative space for reflection, shared learning, and professional growth. Through the intentional inclusion of Māori knowledge systems in both teaching content and practice, this kaupapa contributes to the transformation of the nursing education workforce—supporting learner success and advancing the vision of Pae Ora.
